The demand for engaging social content has never been higher, but monetizing social content has never been more difficult. Instagram influencers are forced to shill for corporate brands. OnlyFans creators need to produce massive amounts of free content to promote their paid subscription service. Even successful musicians are forced to produce content for platforms like YouTube that generate very little monetary value. Existing, centralized social platforms such as TikTok, Instagram and SnapChat, are set up to ensure that content generated by creators benefits the platform first (with engagement, views, etc) and the creators second.
The eclipseNFT platform offers a better way for creators to realize value from their work. Our decentralized platform allows creators to easily create proprietary NFTs from their multimedia content and begin realizing direct monetary value as their work is bought and traded directly in the market. By leveraging the eclipseNFT platform, creators will be able to turn their content into tangible assets that they control themselves, and bypass the existing social platform gatekeepers.
EclipseNFT platform: album cover vs. album content
NFTs have seen massive proliferation over the past years with the market now valued at over $1T. These assets take a variety of forms, such as digital art, game objects, music, etc. Buyers and sellers trade these pieces of digital content as they would any other sort of financial asset. But, even though individuals “own” these digital assets, the content is essentially public, with any asset available for anyone to see or listen to regardless of ownership. Think owning the cover art to an album in a record store. You may own it, but anyone can see it.
EclipseNFT is enabling a new next-generation of NFTs. The platform allows creators to easily mint an NFT and embed both a public image and private multimedia content that can only be viewed by the NFT owner. The EclispeNFT platform grants further control to artists by allowing them to limit the number of times their private content can be viewed before being burned. These new NFTs will let artists create valuable, rare assets from their content that have increased worth in the market. By merging private and public data within NFTs, EclipseNFT’s platform lets artists create albums, not just cover art.
